Addressing the unique challenges of peri- and post-menopause

Exercise to help combat menopause symptoms

One part of each class will focus on high-intensity interval training. HIIT can increase lean muscle mass and reduce fat mass in a relatively short period of time, providing the metabolic stimulus that our hormones previously delivered. Regular practice also lowers inflammation levels.

Build and maintain strength

The other part of the class will incorporate resistance training. Heavy lifting improves metabolism, body composition, stability, blood flow, bone health and immunity. We’ll build a strong foundation of good technique, then progressively increase the weight.

Protect and improve bone density

Multi-directional force and impact stimulate bones to adapt and become stronger. The heavy lifting and HIIT exercises in the class are both designed to help increase bone mineral density.

We’ll share the latest information on how to adjust your nutrition to best support changing hormones and other challenges.

Join a community of women with a shared goal, who support and encourage each other.
